Thank you for the encouragement and vision that you are providing to others. I have certainly had more than one career, and trained for others that didn’t quite work out the way I expected. Nothing is lost, however. My part time work as an activities assistant with residents with memory care arose from a PhD that I attempted and could not finish – direct care in my field was not an option without licensure, and licensure wasn’t going to happen. However the residents taught me well and working with them has connected me to art, spirituality and psychology in ways that I never could have imagined. My own business of art and spiritual direction is emerging. I never thought that at 69 years old, I would wake up eagerly each morning wondering what will be today’s adventure. We are all so much more than we imagine.

Change encourages us to expand our knowledge and provides us with the opportunity for new experiences. Whether we’re graceful or not during our time of transformation, it’s our attitude that determines the kind of adventure we have on journey. This is an inspiring article full of hope and encouragement with the perfect amount of “Baby, you got this…”
